Event announcement for community discussion and PPD 2012 planning for March 22

On Thursday, March 22nd, our Clan, The Brood, will be hosting a service/discussion at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Erie, 7180 New Perry Highway.

The purpose of this event is to discuss where the community wants to go in the future, discussions of who we are and what our Clan does, as well as the beginnings of PPD 2012.

We will be having a small opening offering and prayer to the Gods for guidance. For those making an offering, we ask that offerings be actual offerings to the Gods the same way you would offer to a guest. (a piece of hair, nail clipping, few drops of alcohol for example are not offerings. lol)

As per Erie Pagan protocol, it's not an official event unless there is a potluck, However, we are offering to the community a feast by our own hand. This means to all, you do not need to bring a dish to this event, The Brood will feed you and slake your thirst.

And while donations will not be refused, and will solely be used for future feasts, we are self-funding this event (all the reason for good offerings to the Gods), so donations are not going to be asked for.

We are also allowing small vendors whom we have known at Brighidshaven's past event to set up SMALL TABLES ( no charge) for some wares to sell. Please note, we are only going to allow 4 small spots, consisting of 2 large tables to be used. Folks interested MUST CONTACT US VIA EMAIL.

The order of the evenings event will be as follows:

Doors will open at 7pm. Between 7 and 7:15, the 4 folks vending will set up really fast and vend till 7:15. no sales while prayer and offerings are going on, please, out of respect for the Gods.

At 7:15, we will have prayer and offerings to the Gods.

Feast will begin after prayer and offerings to the Gods. Vending will resume till 7:30.

At 7:30, the hammer will drop and we will begin the discussions. Vending will stop.

We will discuss the future of the community, goals, aspirations, and where folks would like to see Paganism as a whole go to, including much deeper ceremonies, spiritual challenges, etc.

We will also begin the PPD 2012 discussion at about 9:15. We will gather the official list of names and contact info of folks who want to help put on the event.

At about 10pm, all discussions will cease and we will thanks the Gods for their guidance and blessings of the evening.

From 10pm till 10:40, vending will continue. Vending to please promptly end at 10:40

10:40 til 10:50, we ask that vendors please clean their area, and the community begin making their way out.

At 11pm, lights will be turned out and folks rushed out and doors locked up.

For those who want to continue being involved, we will have an email signup list. All coordination of future events, offering/prayer ceremonies, discussions will be addressed via email or, email us at thebrood@juno.com.

Pagan Pride Day is this Saturday! Schedule of events

Hey all!

Hoping to see you all this Saturday, September 10 at 7^th Annual Erie Pagan Pride Day. As always, this will be at St. Nick’s Grove, 5131 Old French Road, Erie PA. Gates open at 10:30 AM.

Attending Pagan Pride Day is FREE, as always. There is a charge for attending the Icarus Witch performance from 2 to 4 PM, and you can get tickets for that at registration. (We can take credit cards this year as well.) Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $8.50 for children.

Our charity this year is the Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA. Please bring non-perishable items to benefit those less fortunate.

Hey there!

Huge thanks to the over 200 people who came and made Erie's 6th Annual Pagan Pride Day (PPD) such a wonderful and fun experience. The United NeoPagan Council of Lake Erie is very grateful for all of your support in making this event so deeply fulfilling!

A few requests:

If you did NOT fill out a feedback form at the end of the day (this was the double sided, 8 1 /2 by all sheet of paper that was made available just after the raffle drawing), please fill out the online version at http://www.u-n-c-l-e.org/civic/?q=ppdfeedback in the next day or two? The board will be meeting to go over this year's PPD within the week, and the more info we can get, the better next year's event. So please, let us hear from you!

If you took any photos at the event, could you please get them to us ASAP? We will be producing an online photo gallery, and would love to have as many pictures as possible.

6th Annual Pagan Pride Day is only a month away! Volunteers needed!

Hey all!

Just a reminder that the 6th Annual Pagan Pride Day is a month away. Full details are below.

We need volunteers to help the day run smoothly, and it's a great way to meet folks! Please contact us at webmaster@u-n-c-l-e.org to volunteer. We mostly need help with set up, registration booth and clean up.

Saturday, September 11 Erie Pagan Pride Day: We are at St. Nick’s Grove, 5131 Old French Road, Erie PA (north of I-90 on Route 97.) The event runs from 10:30 AM to after dark. There is no charge for admissions, and donations are gratefully accepted. Please check in at the registration booth when you arrive.

There will be workshops and panel discussions, as well as rituals. We have a menu of yummy food for sale. Please stop at the... check in table when you arrive. We will have nametags, if you like. You can use your first name, full name and/or screen name if you choose to wear a nametag.

We will have an exciting variety of vendors. There is limited vending space still available. For more info about vending, contact Ruth at: (814) 873-0542 or svelteone@sbcglobal.net.

We also ask that you bring a contribution for this year’s official charity,the Jake Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund.

We are also asking for volunteers to work shifts in the kitchen area or at the registration table, as well as cleanup/setup. This helps ease the workload for all.

Feel free to bring your children or parents, but parents are responsible for taking care of their kids.

We will have photographers who will be taking photos. You can be in photos or not, as you choose. If you do NOT wish to have your photo taken, please get a red dot at the registration table when you arrive. We will also be taking a group photo at 5:45 PM. Again, all photos are optional. We will be including the photos at http://www.u-n-c-l-e.org/.

Bring chairs, blankets, and sunscreen. Volunteers are asked to help with clean up, kitchen and set up.

The Jake Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund

Jake Webb, son of a founding member of U-N-C-L-E and a college student, was tragically killed in a car accident in September of 2008. The Jake Webb Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2008 by U-N-C-L-E in his memory. This scholarship was designed to benefit Neopagan students enrolled in accredited Universities within environmental science majors. I will be keying in the paper forms via the web page, and the United NeoPagan Pagan Council of Lake Erie will be meeting within the week to go over what worked and what could be improved. Just a reminder that the United NeoPagan Council of Lake Erie (UNCLE( is presenting Erie's 5th Annual Pagan Pride Day this Saturday, September 12 at St. Nick's Grove, 5131 Old French Road, Erie PA.
